Spring into Colour 2025: Poetry competition entries and winner

| Alice Ross

Thank you to each and every one of you who entered our Spring into Colour poetry competition this year. We were absolutely blown away by the time, effort, imagination and creative talent that went in to each of the compositions.

A huge thank you also to our wonderful judges who took the time to read through each of the entries and give feedback to the children on their poems and illustrations:

- Author and Guardian Journalist - Rhiannon Lucy Cosslet -
- Decorative Artist - Tess Newall -
- Interior Designer and paint creator - Edward Bulmer-

WINNING ENTRY
As always, its so difficult to pick just one winner, and the judges had a really tough time choosing between the entries. But, in the end, the judges favourite was the following poem within a mural (on the living room wall) by Cordelia (Age 9):

Judges comments on Cordelia's winning entry:

  • A very original and lovely poem, and beautiful drawings
  • Cordelia's murals are stunning! I also love how descriptive her poem is. Well done Cordelia, and keep painting those walls!
  • Your rhyming made me smile and I would be happy to have you decorate my room.
