'On Children' Muslin Blanket - Large
Inspired by the poet Kahlil Gibran's poem 'On Children', this double layer muslin is an exploration of the relationship between parent and child.
Hand illustrated and painted by Forivor's Alice Ruby Ross, this special muslin contemplates Gibran's beautiful poem.
'You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.'
The artwork has been printed onto an antique paper coloured muslin and has fringed edging.
Once washed the fabric will naturally crinkle. You can iron the muslins if you prefer a flatter look.
Our soft lightweight muslin blankets have been designed with an abundance of uses, making sure they will be firm family favourites for the bedroom (it could be used as a wall hanging), travel and the great outdoors. Perfect for swimming trips as well as bath time.
Muslin is one of the world’s oldest fabrics and has become synonymous with babies because its lightweight but durable construction is perfect for ensuring little ones do not overheat.
