Because our products are designed in the UK and made in India, under the new EU and UK trading rules following Brexit, our products do not qualify for preferential duty. This means for all orders to the EU, taxes and import duties will be shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis and will be charged to the customer. These charges are calculated by customs, not by Forivor.
Orders with a value of 150 euros and under (including shipping) are not subject to duty charges but local taxes (VAT) apply and customs clearing costs (approximately 15 euros) are applied. If the total order value is 150 euros and over, the order is subject to local taxes and import duty which can total 40% of the order, these are calculated by customs.
We would have loved to have continued offering shipping on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis as we have been since Brexit was introduced, but unfortunately this is no longer viable for a business like ours.
Forivor will not be held liable for fees relating to any customers refusal to pay Duties/VAT and related costs. We are not responsible for resending items that have been returned to the UK because customers have not responded to messages from local depots relating to processing customs on their shipment.
