'Winter Birds' Baby Muslin

  • £44.00
Tax included.

Printed onto double layer muslin, this hand-illustrated work by Forivor’s Alice Ruby Ross was inspired by the poem 'Winter Birds'. Babies can be wrapped in the special muslin and it can then be kept and even framed as a memento of those special first moments.

The artwork is part of Forivor's Sunday Poem series which began in lockdown as a way to  create times of reflection, love and hope by illustrating a selected poem and posting them on instagram each week.

'as the moon begins her ending, her ending?                                                                     you sang. And we danced in the cow-vacant night.                                                   Dancing and singing until our hearts grew fat.'

Excerpt from the poem Winter Birds, by Linda Gregg.

Our soft muslins have been designed with an abundance of uses, making sure it will be a firm family favourite for the nursery, through to the junior bedroom and the great outdoors. A perfect lightweight blanket to use as a swaddle, nursing cover, burp cloth, baby change cover and tummy time mat - the small size blanket has a multitude of uses and makes an extra special gift for a newborn.

Once washed the fabric will naturally crinkle. You can iron the muslins if you prefer a flatter look.

Muslin is one of the world’s oldest fabrics and has become synonymous with babies because its lightweight but durable construction is perfect for ensuring little ones do not overheat.
