The Enchanted Forest is Forivor’s original woodland-inspired collection of children’s bedding, quilts, muslins, pyjamas and baby accessories, inspired by the wildlife and wildflowers of the forest. It began with the idea of creating a woodland that could be explored in two worlds - one rooted in real nature and another where the same creatures might have secret lives after dark.
By day, foxes and rabbits weave between wild flowers, swifts dart through the treetops and a lesser-spotted woodpecker peeks around the edge of an old tree. Look closely and there is wildlife everywhere. The Dayland side of the design is inspired by the creatures you might discover in a real woodland, and the accompanying character cards encourage children to learn more about the birds and animals hidden amongst the trees.
Then, as the light fades and the bedding is turned over, the forest changes completely. Beneath the trees, the roots have become an enormous underground labyrinth filled with cosy fox burrows, midnight feasts and magical gatherings. The familiar woodland animals have transformed too: badgers play music for a party, fox cubs sleep in their burrows and the horse has become Federico the Pegasus, flying through the enchanted forest as the centrepiece of the night-time world.
The accompanying character cards reveal the magical creatures hidden within the night-time illustrations, with simple storytelling prompts, magical powers and friendships to discover. Enchanted Forest is both a celebration of real woodland wildlife and an invitation to imagine what might happen in the forest when humans are asleep - a secret world where nature, folklore and fantasy come alive after dark.
