The Space Above the Ground Book
This book is designed to accompany our Space Above the Ground collection. Starting with a short story which follows the nighttime adventures of three children up into the ash tree and into the night sky and the rollerskating snails, trumpeting bees and moth-air balloons they meet along the way. Illustrated with a series of original images by Forivor's Alice Ruby Ross they offer children another insight into Forivorland's magical world.
The inside leaves of the book include a key to all the wildlife on the daytime side of the design and the characters they transform into at night on the reverse of The Space Above the Ground design.
To encourage children's curiosity about the sky and its inhabitants, the planets and the weather, we interviewed experts on the themes of migration, metamorphosis, the weather, youth climate activism and astronomy. These include the incredible Flying Swan Sacha Dench, Dr Sarah Beynon from The Bug Farm and Jane Scotter from biodynamic farm Fern Verrow among others.
You may want to add this book to your order when you purchases one of our jersey or muslin blankets in the main Space Above the Ground design, as well as when we offer the quilted blanket and duvet sets in our Perfectly Imperfect Sales without the accessories.
The book is printed at the award-winning Seacourt Printing in Oxford, achieving zero waste to landfill and recognised as one of the most sustainable SME in Europe.
