Spring into Colour: Children's Poetry Competition 2025 - Forivor

Spring into Colour: Children's Poetry Competition 2025

| Rebecca Monserat

As we officially mark the start of spring in the northern hemisphere, we want to celebrate the new season by inviting entries into our Spring into Colour: Children's Poetry Competition 2025.

As we emerge from the grey winter months and look forward to all the colour that the sunnier seasons bring, we hope this competition will encourage children to think about the colours, sights, smells, feelings and memories of spring.

Competition Details
We are asking children to write a poem or a short piece of creative writing (max 300 words) about the changes we see in spring.

We want to know what you see, how Spring makes you feel and why? What do these changes in the season evoke and inspire for you? They can be fun or serious but most importantly we want them to express your thoughts and feelings.

Poems or pieces of writing should be accompanied by some illustrative or design element, from a decorative border or illustration inspired by old almanacs to something
graphic incorporated into the words. The sky's the limit in terms of your creativity here!

The competition is open to 6-12 year olds from anywhere in the world and we're asking for all entries to be submitted by Sunday 20th April 2025.

Prizes in each category
Winning prizes in two categories 6-9 years and 9-12 years
